SUMMARY:MCDS Spring Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The spring meeting of the Metro Columbus Daylily Society will be held on May 17 at Franklin Park Conservatory.  The meeting is located in the downstairs classrooms near the rear exit of the Conservatory.  A member plant auction will be held along with a guest plant distribution to members will be held.  If you are not a member\, please sign up at the meeting and you will be able to particate in the plant auction. \nThis year’s guest plants were purchased from Bell’s Daylily Gardens of Sycamore\, Georgia and Heavenly Gardens (Jamie Gossard) of Galloway Ohio and include many unique flowers including a number of 2025 introductions.  Light refreshments will be served. \n \n  \n  \n

SUMMARY:Public Daylily Sale
DESCRIPTION:A public daylily sale will be held at the Clintonville Women’s Club at 3951 North High Street\, Columbus\, Ohio on July 26. 2025 at 10 am to 12 noon.  The event is free and open to the public and will be run by the Metropolitan Columbus Daylily Society (MCDS).  A poster for the sale is shown at the following link:  Public Daylily Plant Sale! \nThe sale will consist of bare root daylilies only and will include plants dug from the Ohio Hybridizer Garden as well as plants dug from MCDS member gardens.  Prices are very reasonable and usually $5 or $10.  The sale includes both older and newer daylily varieties including some hard-to-find plants. Come join us at this fun event! \n \n  \n  \n

SUMMARY:MCDS Meeting\, Plant Sale and Auction
DESCRIPTION:One of our biggest events of the year will be held at the Franklin Park Conservatory on August 2\, 2025 in the lower-level classrooms.  The event includes a members-only plant sale\, a pizza lunch\, a short business meeting\, a members -only plant auction\, and the distribution of guest plants to those members who have been with the club for at least one year. \nMembers can drop off plant donations for the morning sale at 11-11:15 am. \nThe plant sale will begin at 11:15 and end at 12:15.   \nLunch will begin at 12:30 pm. \nThe business meeting will begin at 1:15 and the plant auction will begin immediately after followed by the guest plant distribution. \nIt is our hope that the Conservatory will be open from Broad Street at 11:00 am due to the Pelotonia Bike Ride event in progress.  If not\, please access the conservatory from the South Entrance on Franklin Park South Street. \nIt should be a great event– we hope that you can attend. \n \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:The spring meeting of the Metro Columbus Daylily Society will be held on Saturday May 16 at Franklin Park Conservatory.  The meeting is usually located in the downstairs classrooms near the rear exit of the Conservatory but may also be held in the Veridian Room.  A member plant auction will be held along with a guest plant distribution to members will be held.  If you are not a member\, please sign up at the meeting and you will be able to participate in the plant auction. \nThe business meeting will start at 1 pm and the auction and guest plant distribution will follow.  Guest plants will be distributed to those members who qualify for a guest plant. \nThis year’s guest plants were largely purchased from Pinewood Gardens (Phil & Louella Korth) from Wisconsin and include many unique flowers including a number of 2025 and 2026 introductions.  However\, we are purchasing some other daylilies that will remain a surprise for now.  Light refreshments will be served.
