2023 Daylily Show

The MCDS 2023 Daylily Show was held at the Upper Arlington Public Library on June 24, 2023. This show was free and open to the public. The show included 144 on-scape daylily entries from 15 people. The show also included a table of off-scape (flower only) daylily entries as well as 6 daylily designs (flower arrangements) prepared by the members. Photos of the award winners are shown in the gallery below.

We had a tie for the Best of Show/Queen of the show winner. Getitia Brown, a show novice, with her entry Humungosaur (Best Unusual Form) and Steve Williams with his Best Seedling both received the Best of Show rosette. The Bill Johannes Sweepstakes Award, for the largest number of blue ribbons, was won by Steve Williams. Karen Ciula and Jackie Lundberg both won the People’s Choice Award for their design entries.

We are very grateful to all the members who set up and managed the show, prepared design arrangements, and submitted on-scape and off-scape flower entries. We also appreciate the time and efforts of the show judges who traveled to Columbus to judge the show.
